ROLES

CONTENT DESIGNER
WEB DESIGNER
UI DESIGNER

THE CHALLENGE:

At Shutterfly, business partners brief the digital team on a number of landing pages every quarter. The landing pages template used by the team was built in Photoshop, wasn't responsive, and didn't offer enough design options to allow storytelling throughout the pages.
We used to keep asking the web development team "one-time" changes to the template, resulting in inefficient use of time and not a cohesive look throughout different pages.

THE SOLUTION:

Creating one template to include all design options for consumer-facing marketing landing pages. Free up designers’ time to work on page storytelling rather than pages web design for each project.

THE OUTCOME:

Streamlined landing pages design and web development process, introduced 50+ responsive modules, and achieved a cohesive look and feel.

An extensive wireframe template to provide design flexibility for any type of content.

On the digital team, I was the dedicated person to work on most of the marketing website pages.
This allowed me to identify the need and design an extensive library of modules to include options for different types of content.

Updated design system to provide both consistency and options.

The new design system included a clean typography approach consistent with the evergreen look and guidelines, but included a typestyle to reflect the current campaign lock-up and could be easily updated in the future.

From template
to live pages

During my time at Shutterfly, part of my duties was to create landing pages to support seasonal campaigns. Partnering closely with copywriters and marketing business partners, I adapted the messaging and seasonal visual direction to the specific product categories to promote.

This is a curated selection of landing pages I created using the new design system template.
